Following a successful first season together in the FIM Sidecar World Championship, Motor Presse Stuttgart and the FIM are continuing their partnership through 2024.

The inclusion of the FIM Sidecar World Championship in the IDM calendar, along with the live streaming service and promotion of the series, resulted in twenty-eight teams competing in 2023, which proved to be a real success.

The 2024 calendar features six races in five countries. The opening race at Le Mans is organized by the FIM, while the other five events are organized by Motor Presse Stuttgart.

The races at the Sachsenring, Most, and Assen will be integrated into the IDM series, while the penultimate round will take place as part of the Sidecar Festival in Oschersleben. The 2024 FIM Sidecar World Championship finale will be held in Estoril, Portugal.

The IDM classification for young riders and teams who are just starting their careers will remain in place. Six teams are required to hold a separate IDM sidecar competition. In that case, there would also be a chance for an additional IDM sidecar race at the Schleizer Dreieck natural race track.
