Negotiations with the racetrack operators have been concluded, and Motor Presse Stuttgart, as the promoter and organizer of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM), is now announcing the revised and final race dates for the 2024 season.

As announced, the season opener in May will take place at the legendary Sachsenring. This means the IDM will kick off right away at a racetrack that also hosts the Motorcycle World Championship. In June, races will be held in Oschersleben and, three weeks later, in Most, Czech Republic.
As always, the season’s highlight in Schleiz will take place in July. However, there’s a change here: the original date has been moved back two weeks to the end of the month. Consequently, the natural race track will become a iconic venue from July 26 to 28.

The second half of the season begins in August in Assen, Netherlands. This confirms the next MotoGP track on the IDM calendar. And the sixth of the seven rounds is also set. The Nürburgring will fill the previously vacant slot from August 30 through September 1. This marks the championship’s return to the Eifel region after a five-year hiatus. The Hockenheimring remains a fixture on the calendar. The IDM’s grand season finale is traditionally held in September at the Motodrom in Baden.

Racing will take place in the IDM Superbike, IDM Supersport, IDM Supersport 300, and IDM/FIM Sidecar classes. The lineup is excellent, and the classes are packed with exciting contenders who promise top-notch racing.
