With the season finale of the Sidecar World Championship taking place this weekend in Estoril, severe weather forecasts have led to changes in the race schedule. Since a severe storm is predicted for Sunday, the organizers have decided to move the sprint race to Saturday. This decision was also unanimously supported by the teams.
However, moving the race to Saturday could also mean that the title will be decided as early as Saturday between the teams of Todd Ellis/Emmanuelle Clement and Ben and Tom Birchall. A total of 22 points separate the two.
Unfortunately, there is one caveat: due to the last-minute change in the schedule, the first race will not be streamed live. The main race on Sunday is scheduled to take place as planned and can be watched for free via livestream starting at 4:00 p.m. (German time).
There will be a change in the schedule due to poor weather forecasts: Instead of two races on Sunday, there will now be a 10-lap race on Saturday, starting at 3:40 p.m. local time. And on Sunday, there will be a 17-lap race starting at 3:05 p.m.
