Hungarian Racing Engineering (HRE) has partnered with the importer Ivanics Csoport to become the first Hungarian factory team. “Since our launch in 2020, we have worked hard to become a factory support team,” said HRE team owner Károly Léváy. “This is a major step forward.”

Máté Számadó was once again selected as the rider. The 17-year-old Hungarian from Budapest, who finished seventh overall last year, is heading into his third IDM season. His track record is looking stronger by the day. Last year, he took the Kawasaki Ninja to the podium at Oschersleben, Most, and Schleiz. A victory is still missing, but Számadó is optimistic: “Being on a factory-backed team is every rider’s dream. With this extra support and new parts for the bikes, I believe I can achieve great results.”
Joining him is rookie Luki Owen. This is his first season in the IDM.
