Toni Erhard and Roto-Store BRT Vitori are parting ways effective immediately due to various tensions, the 21-year-old IDM Supersport 300 racer has announced. However, this does not mean the season is over for him.
“However, it’s not exactly easy to find an open spot on a team at this point,” says the 2018 champion. He has already considered a few options, though, and is hoping to find a suitable solution that will allow him to secure a ride elsewhere.
The season had only really begun for Erhard a week and a half ago in Most. He missed the races at the Lausitzring and in Oschersleben due to injury. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 rider had broken his ankle during test rides in April. In Most, the Schwarzenberg native took to the track for the first time this year. “My foot was still bothering me a bit more than I had expected. But my feel for the bike and my confidence in it got better and better with every lap,” Erhard reported. He took home four championship points. “Next up on the calendar is the race weekend from July 22–24 at the Schleizer Dreieck. I hope to have found a motorcycle by then.”
