HRE – die drei großen Buchstaben stehen für das Hungarian Racing Engineering Team. Im vergangenen Jahr hatte es seine Premiere in der IDM. Nun folgt die Fortsetzung. Stammfahrer Máté Számadó holte auf dem Lausitzring in der IDM Supersport 300 fünf Meisterschaftspunkte. Doch es geht um viel mehr. Das ungarische HRE Team hat sich Deutschlands höchste Straßenrennsportserie noch aus einem ganz anderen Grund ausgesucht.
Saturday afternoon was a celebration for the team: Máté Számadó scored points on the Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the junior class. Team leader Károly Lévay explains: “What makes our team special, however, is that we don’t just focus on racing, but also on training mechanics. We also teach students from Széchenyi István University in Győr and let them experience firsthand what it’s really like at the racetrack. This includes the mechanics’ work from A to Z, but it’s also about team spirit and organization.” Speaking of Máté Számadó, he states clearly: “He finished 2021 in 13th place overall. We expect him to secure a better position by the end of the season!”
