Ricardo Brink is on cloud nine. After a brief stint in the Dutch Championship, the 24-year-old from IJsselmuiden is back racing in the IDM Superbike series. His trademark: the number “4.” Brink has a teammate by his side. His compatriot Jeroen Hilster is moving up from the IDM Supersport class to Germany’s premier racing series.

Brink and Hilster are part of the RR Socia Racing team. The team is led by former ONK Superbike rider Nelson Rolfes. In his view, the team’s entry into the IDM marks the beginning of a new chapter in its road racing history. “We plan to field two riders in the Superbike class and two riders in the IDM Supersport class.” In the premier class, last year’s partnership with Ricardo Brink will continue. Newcomer Jeroen Hilster will make his debut in the premier class. Both will race on BMW M 1000 RRs.

Preparations for the season opener at the Lausitzring in early May are in full swing. From March 21 to 27, testing will take place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia and at Motorland Aragón, before the team heads to the TT circuit in their home town of Assen.
