The stage is already set for the next season of the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). Motor Presse Stuttgart, the series’ organizer and promoter, will unveil the preliminary 2022 schedule at this year’s season finale. Seven events are planned.
In 2021, the IDM continued to establish itself even amid the COVID-19 pandemic and became a bestseller in Europe. In the premier class, IDM Superbike 1000, there were at times more than 30 riders on the starting grid. The competitive balance in the junior Supersport class is also highly regarded. Here, races are often decided in the very last corner.
In the IDM Supersport class, work is currently underway on proposals to increase the engine displacement limit. The IDM Superstock 600 Cup will no longer exist in its current form.
