Contrary to reports circulating that the injured Valentin Debise (Kawasaki Weber-Motos Racing Team) would miss the IDM finale at Hockenheim and that the champions in the IDM Superbike 1000 and IDM Supersport 600 classes would therefore already be decided, there is no confirmation yet that the French rider, who competes in both classes, will withdraw.

What happened: Thanks to his winning streak in the French Supersport Championship, Debise was once again signed by Team GMT94 as a wildcard rider for a World Supersport round, which took place last weekend at Magny-Cours. Shortly after the race started, the 29-year-old Kawasaki rider was involved in a collision. The result was a fractured wrist. His left arm was put in a cast. The attending physician advised against surgery for the time being. The cast keeps the wrist completely immobilized. “Everything will be checked in two weeks,” says Carsten Haufe, Motocross Product Manager and Racing Representative for Kawasaki Germany.

Debise is currently second overall in both the IDM Superbike 1000 and the IDM Supersport 600. The premier class is led by Ilya Mikhalchik with 165 points, ahead of Valentin Debise (125) and Florian Alt (112).
In the IDM Supersport 600, Debise ranks second with 174 points behind leader Patrick Hobelsberger (200) and ahead of Glenn Van Straalen (119).
