Gabriel Noderer’s race at the Schleizer Dreieck has come to a premature end. The ZX-6R rider from Team Kawasaki Weber-Motos Racing crashed during free practice for the IDM Supersport 600 and tore all the ligaments in his right shoulder. The 24-year-old Bavarian from Thalmässing had been riding fast, but the final chicane proved to be his undoing. “The engine braking kicked in really hard and I went flying off the track in a highside. Right onto my head and shoulder.”

The Bavarian is now walking around the paddock with his arm heavily bandaged and immobilized. For now, he can only watch from the sidelines. He hopes to have surgery as early as next week so he doesn’t have to sit on his ten championship points for too long.
