Ricardo Brink will once again compete in the IDM Superbike 1000 series in 2021. What’s new, however, is that the 23-year-old Dutchman from IJsselmuiden will race under the banner of the German BCC Racing Team, switching to a BMW S1000 RR as his race bike.
Just a week ago, the split between Team SWPN and Ricardo Brink was announced. But Brink has more news to share just a few days later. Just in time for Christmas, he announced his future partnership with the BCC Racing Team. After seven years with Yamaha, this also means a switch to a new brand for the Dutch rider. However, Brink is optimistic about the change, given BMW’s successes in recent years.
“After three years with Team SWPN, it’s time to move on. I’m thrilled that BCC Racing is giving me this opportunity. I tested a BMW in 2017 and had a really good feeling about it. That’s why I can’t wait for the season to start.”
