Der nächste Fahrer im Team Freudenberg steht fest. Michael und Carsten Freudenberg setzen mit dem 16-jährigen Leo Rammerstorfer auf eine deutsch-österreichische Connection in der IDM Supersport 300.
At the IDM finale in Hockenheim, Rammerstorfer made his debut on a Freudenberg-KTM and, as a guest rider, put in a respectable performance in practice, finishing in the middle of the field. He is now set to compete in his first full season in the junior class. The motivation is high, as Lennox Lehmann—not only his teammate but also the defending champion—is in the same pit. Rammerstorfer has a lot to learn in the performance-oriented Freudenberg Team. The junior from Feldkirchen didn’t race on a circuit until 2019.
Team manager Carsten Freudenberg comments on the rider selection: “Leo’s learning curve at Hockenheim was really good all weekend long! Unfortunately, he crashed and was injured in the first race, so he couldn’t compete in the second race. That was a shame! But he had already made a strong impression in practice.” It’s a perfect fit that Rammerstorfer, an Austrian, is riding a KTM. Top 10 finishes are the shared goal.
