Martin Vugrinec (Yamaha) set the pace in the second qualifying session of the IDM Supersport 600. The Croatian was three-tenths of a second faster than yesterday. This helped him secure a spot on the front row, where local hero Max Enderlein (Yamaha) from Hohenstein-Ernstthal and Sander Kroeze (Yamaha) from the Netherlands remained firmly entrenched at the top. However, Vugrinec will have to make way for the fastest Kawasaki rider, Gabriel Noderer. The Bavarian will now start from the second row.
Kawasaki rider Glenn van Straalen, who had won the opening race at Assen, pushed his Dutch compatriot and winner of the second race, Victor Steeman (Yamaha), down from seventh place; otherwise, there were no changes in the top ten.
In the IDM Superstock 600, the top positions remain unchanged: guest rider Moritz Jenkner (Yamaha), who does not earn championship points, is on pole position. He is joined on the front row by Paul Fröde (Honda) and Jan-Ole Jähnig (Yamaha). The Thuringian from the Supersport 300 World Championship is making his IDM Superstock 600 debut at the Sachsenring.
