The Bonovo Action Team powered by MGM Racing did not arrive at the Sachsenring with its full roster of riders. Maximilian Weihe is missing. The Yamaha rider has dislocated his shoulder.

A crash in Turn 11 took Daniel Rubin (Yamaha) out of the race today. His bike is badly damaged, so his practice bike has been prepared. It is not yet clear whether Rubin will be on the starting grid tomorrow. He had a headache today and plans to sleep on it first.

For over a year and a half now, new Superbike rider Marco Fetz (Suzuki) and IDM Superstock 600 rider Bastian Ubl (Yamaha) have been part of Christof “Fifty” Höfer’s team of young racing talents. “We ride pit bikes and he corrects our riding position. We’re also learning to understand the motorcycle better. He tells us exactly what we’re doing wrong and what we’re doing right,” says Bastian Ubl, appreciating the guidance. At the IDM finale in Hockenheim, Höfer is set to serve as his riding coach for the first time.
