Due to ongoing restrictions aimed at containing the coronavirus pandemic, the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) weekend in Most, which was scheduled to take place from July 3 to 5, 2020, has been canceled. This decision is driven by the continuing international travel restrictions and the lack of clear official guidelines for holding a racing event. “As things stand today, we cannot guarantee that the weekend will run smoothly and fairly,” said IDM Series Manager Normann Broy, explaining the decision. “We have made this decision now to give the teams and riders planning certainty.” The riders will not be able to test their new motorcycles for this season for the first time until the coming weeks, as suitable race tracks have been closed due to the pandemic.

As the organizer and promoter of the IDM, Motor Presse Stuttgart remains fully committed to staging a championship season in Germany’s premier motorcycle road racing series, even under these difficult conditions.
