The 2020 German Speedweek at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben has been canceled. Races from the World Endurance Championship, the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM), and the Northern Talent Cup were originally scheduled to take place from June 4 to 6. Due to the current situation and international travel restrictions, the promoter was unfortunately forced to cancel the event.
Motor Presse Stuttgart, as the organizer and promoter of the IDM, is now holding further discussions with the Motorsport Arena, DORNA, the DMSB, and the teams to see if an IDM weekend can still be held in Oschersleben at a later date in 2020. IDM Series Manager Normann Broy commented: “Everyone involved—the riders and fans—are hoping for a season, even if it is shortened, and are asking us to organize IDM races even during the coronavirus crisis, if conditions allow.”
