IDM Supersport 600: Folgt dem Kawasaki-Platz für Gabriel Noderer noch einer in der Politik?

Gabriel Noderer will remain with the Kawasaki Weber-Motos Racing Team in 2020, but there will be structural changes, especially since Supersport 300 champion Angelo Licciardi has moved up to the higher class as his teammate. But Noderer has another race on his hands. He is one of the candidates in the Thalmässing municipal council election. On March 15, voters can mark their ballots for him.

“But don’t worry, even if I’m elected, I’ll make racing my top priority,” Noderer says right away. At Oschersleben, he had his first and only taste of the podium during the 2019 season on the Kawasaki ZX-6R. That was far from enough for the 23-year-old. Now that Belgian rider Angelo Licciardi has joined the same team, support is coming from the Benjan racing team. “They’ll be providing us with technical assistance.” Team technical specialist Kurt Stückle and his crew can thus focus entirely on Kawasaki Superbike rider Erwan Nigon.

And what’s the deal with the seat on the municipal council? “The municipal council makes decisions about the community’s activities and policies,” explains Noderer, who lives in Eysölden, a district of the municipality of Thalmässing. Through his involvement in racing, this native of Middle Franconia has already gained some experience and overcome challenges, so people believe he’s capable of contributing to the decision-making process. At 23, Noderer is also incredibly active in other areas. He is involved in the men’s choir and the sports club as coach of the women’s soccer team.
