Yamaha Motor Germany, Yamaha Motor Netherlands, and the Swiss Yamaha importer Hostettler Group are joining forces. They are organizing a joint R3 Cup as part of the IDM. The goal: to strengthen the development of young talent in motorsports.
Now, Yamaha dealers from Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland are joining forces for a new project. They are pooling their racing experience and combining their expertise to create a cross-border cup: the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup DE | CH | NL 2020. It will be held in a dedicated time slot as part of the IDM.
The youth development program is open to riders between the ages of 12 and 25. The motorcycles are built by MGM Performance (Germany), YART (for Swiss participants), or Ten Kate Racing (Netherlands), depending on the participant’s country of origin. The program operates under the principle of “equal opportunity.” The race-ready motorcycles are identical.
Technical support is available to all Cup participants. An organizational team is on site to manage the event. Dario Giuseppetti and Joey Litjens have been hired as riding coaches.
For a package price of €9,999.00, participants receive a race-ready YZF-R3 (2020 model), a full set of protective gear, a stand, and tire warmers. In addition, there is a €3,999.00 entry fee.
