Yamaha-Fahrer Marc Buchner (Buchner Motorsport) hat den ersten Lauf der IDM Supersport 600 beim Finale in Hockenheim gewonnen. Zweiter wurde mit dem Kroaten Martin Vugrinec (Unior Racing Team, Yamaha) ein Markenkollege. Der Dritte Luca Grünwald (Kawasaki Schnock Team Motorex) fährt eine ZX-6R.
For Buchner, it was a dream come true. He had already secured a victory at Assen. Now it was clear that it wasn’t just a fluke. With a lead of nearly ten seconds, he was in a league of his own. In the first half of the season, his team had long struggled with setup issues on the Yamaha. These had severely hampered his title bid. Since Max Enderlein (Freudenberg WorldSSP Team) has already successfully defended his title on Yamaha, Buchner is expected to finish as runner-up. Enderlein is serving as a co-commentator for his class in the commentary booth this time. He only arrived in Hockenheim today and won’t be slipping into his leathers.
