The IDM Superbike 1000 will be revving up at the Nürburgring from July 19 to 21, 2019, as part of the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix. At the same time, brand partners BMW, Honda, and Kawasaki will be on hand in the Eifel region with special promotions. Customers and prospective customers can immerse themselves in the brand worlds in a variety of ways. See, experience, marvel: The IDM and its partners are going full throttle.
BMW Motorrad is showcasing its latest models in a 400-square-meter exhibition area in the paddock, ranging from the new S1000 RR and the HP4 Race to the R nineT, the GS models, and the Easy Evolution electric bike. The wheelie simulator promises an exhilarating experience, allowing riders to try their hand at riding on the rear wheel. And stunt rider Dirk Manderbach will demonstrate what’s possible with motorcycles in his show twice daily on Saturday and Sunday right on the race track. BMW Motorrad has also engaged former MotoGP star Jürgen Fuchs for the Nürburgring event, who will show interested visitors the correct seating positions and postures on a race bike.
Honda has traveled to the Eifel region with its test ride truck. On board are the CB1000R, CB650R, Africa Twin, and CBR1000RR Fireblade, among others. The truck is parked outside the Nürburgring grounds between the Mercedes Grandstand and the Ring Casino. This means you can visit even without a ticket to the event at the Ring. At Honda, you can experience the thrill of motorcycling to the fullest. Test rides are available on-site. Tours of the surrounding area are led by a guide familiar with the local area. Protective gear can be rented on-site at the Honda truck. Additionally, two VIP tickets for the IDM finale in Hockenheim will be raffled off. To enter, you must participate in a photo opportunity with the Honda CB1000R at the booth.
Kawasaki motorcycles are an experience for all the senses. The motto here is: don’t just look, ride them. The Ninja ZX-6R, Versys 650, Z900, and Ninja H2 SX SE+ have rolled out of the roadshow truck onto the street. There’s also plenty of merchandise available. The location here is also the outdoor area right next to the Ring.
