The Dutch SWPN team leaves nothing to chance and has been preparing for the new season in Valencia and Barcelona with its trio of riders : Ricardo Brink (IDM Superbike 1000), Wayne Tessels (IDM Supersport ), and Melvin van der Voort (IDM Supersport ) .
First things first: All three team riders get along well. It was their first time meeting each other. Tessels and young rider van der Voort are new to the team.
Wayne Tessels has already made his first suspension adjustments on the Yamaha YZF-R6 . “He has a very high top speed,” says team manager Frank Brouwer, who hopes that SWPN has signed a podium contender in the IDM Supersport class with the 24-year-old. Judging by the initial results, the competition had better watch out. Tessels will compete in an important race even before the IDM season begins. He has received a wild card for the Supersport in the Netherlands. The race will take place as part of the Superbike World Championship, which will be held at the TT Circuit Assen from April 12 to 14, 2019.
