Last year, the HPC-Power-Suzuki Racing Team fielded Dominic Schmitter , the fastest non-BMW rider. The Swiss rider finished fourth overall in the 2018 IDM Superbike 1000. In 2019 , team boss Denis Hertrampf is sending a trio of riders into the battle for podium spots in Germany’s top road racing class. The rollout for Daniel Kartheininger, Bobby Bos, and Kevin Sieder took place in Cartagena, Spain.

The German-Dutch-Austrian rider trio completed a total of 600 laps at the Circuito de Cartagena. For all three riders, the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 was a completely new model. But the HPC crew mechanics also had to adjust. The Superbike now features a new suspension system. During the winter break, the team switched from Öhlins components to WP parts.

Work on fine-tuning the bike and adjusting its electronics began as early as the second day of testing. Kartheininger, Bos, and Sieder took to the track on both used and new Pirelli tires. This marks the start of the process, and Hertrampf still has big plans. The team is now heading directly from Spain to Assen, where the next round of testing will take place.
