We're getting started, and we already have some interested parties on our list. The BMW Motorrad BoxerCup The series has kicked off. Anyone who wants to participate can sign up for the new series starting now. There are 24 spots available for regular participants.

What can participants expect? There are six events as part of the International German Championship (IDM). The schedule includes two free practice sessions on the Friday of each event, two qualifying sessions on Saturday, and one race each on Saturday and Sunday. As with most cups, the BoxerCup emphasizes a level playing field. For this reason, all motorcycles are prepared and modified centrally. Only then are they delivered to the riders. The start date is set for early April 2019. Production-based regulations and strict technical inspections are designed to ensure that riding skill determines victory and defeat. All bikes will run on standard Dunlop tires. The promoter is chassis specialist Benny Wilbers.

How much does a season cost? There is a complete package available for just under 24,000.00 euros. This includes the race-ready Cup motorcycle based on the BMW R nineT Racer as well as the participant’s clothing from head to toe. Entry fees are also included. The official start of the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup season is the IDM opener in mid-May at the Eurospeedway Lausitz.
