IDM Supersport : Local riders line up on the front row

It would have been the day of the Sander Kroeze (Yamaha) ...but a small rubber ring dashed the Dutchman's dreams of securing pole position on his home track. Oil was leaking from the Yamaha's fork, and after the repair, he had only two laps left to set a decent time. Kroeze was clearly struggling to come to terms with his 10th-place spot on the starting grid.

Leading the pack will be guest riders Rob Hartog (Kawasaki), Glenn van Straaten (Suzuki), and IDM runner-up Marc Buchner (Yamaha). The German has put his doubts behind him overnight, having to line up once again behind Kevin Wahr (Yamaha) and Daniel Rubin (Yamaha) after a botched first qualifying session. Alongside Max Enderlein (Yamaha), who was injured at Assen, Buchner currently has the best chance of winning the title race. Every point counts for him. Even if Hartog and van Straaten were to finish ahead of him in the race, it wouldn’t matter. As guest riders, neither of them will earn any points.

Vasco van der Valk (Yamaha) could tip the scales among the chasing pack. The Dutchman isn't a major contender in the title race, but if he finishes near the front this time, it could well have a decisive impact on the subsequent positions in the championship.

In the Superstock 600 class, which races in the same field but is classified separately, Jan Schmidt (Yamaha) The fastest. He is only 0.122 seconds behind Moritz Jenkner (Yamaha), whose prominent father, former World Championship rider Steve Jenkner, is serving as his mechanic. The third-fastest time was set by Marco Fetz (Yamaha) recorded. He leads the overall standings.
