Who would have thought it? Everything is back on track for Kevin Wahr as well. Effective immediately, the Nagold native will be competing as a Yamaha R6 rider for the Dutch mvr Racing team . Christian Stange had quit in frustration and voiced criticism, but that didn’t deter Wahr. He reflects: “Chris stood on the podium at Oschersleben, and with Bryan Schouten, the team won the IDM title in the 600cc class in 2016. I do believe that these people know how to run a racing team.”
Wahr had already been in contact with the Dutch last winter, but decided to stick with Diego Romero. He didn’t want to switch teams. But now, after the disaster at Zolder, contact has been stepped up again. After all, the Stange bike was still available at mvr-Racing. “I trust the team and need to win races after this setback. Whether that will happen right away on our first weekend together is questionable, but that’s the goal.” Wahr is currently third overall in the IDM Supersport 600.
