The BMW Motorrad BoxerCup, scheduled to take place as part of the IDM, has been canceled for 2018. According to BMW Motorrad CEO Henning Putzke, the concept continues to generate enthusiasm. However, the number of confirmed entries was not sufficient to hold the event. BMW Motorrad plans to adapt the brand cup concept and position the series internationally for 2019. “There is interest from the European markets,” said Putzke. BMW Motorrad now plans to use the time slot currently reserved for the BoxerCup in the IDM for presentations and customer events at the racetrack.
