Without sponsors, nothing happens. Thanks to his supporters, Marco Fetz will now be able to compete in a full season of the EURO MOTO Superbike series after all. But first, he has the pre-test for the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the Bugatti Circuit today and tomorrow.
The drive from Kleinbreitenbronn, Bavaria, to the Bugatti Circuit in France flew by. Austrian Jan Mohr had joined him in the car, and the two took turns entertaining each other, offering moral support, and cracking jokes. Jan Mohr, from Vorarlberg, had already announced his EURO MOTO debut weeks ago. After a year on the SWPN-Yamaha, he is returning to his former team, Masteroil Alpha Van Zon BMW.
His German rival, racing for the MF-Racing team powered by Jung, is competing with a much smaller budget than the big factory team, but he’s thrilled to be back in the game. His girlfriend also rallied everyone she knew through an online GoFundMe campaign to raise the necessary funds. Even former racers contributed with a donation to help the passionate team remain in the Superbike class.
“The battle for championship points will be even tougher in 2026 than it has been so far,” Fetz assesses the situation. He finished last season in 19th place in the overall standings. “And the level of competition in the Superbike class has risen even further. That speaks for itself and is an even greater incentive for me. I think we’re talking about ten riders alone who have a chance at a podium finish. Given my circumstances regarding equipment for the BMW, budget, and training opportunities, I won’t be able to get there. It would also be presumptuous to say that I’m explicitly aiming for the top ten. For me, it’s important to improve on every track and thereby move further up the field. And if it works out, I’ll gladly take a top-ten finish.” The new EURO MOTO season kicks off from May 8–10, 2026, at the Sachsenring.

Before that, 26-year-old Marco Fetz and 28-year-old Jan Mohr will be warming up at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from April 17 to 20. It marks the opening round of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC). As for their motorcycle brands, both are switching teams. Fetz is under contract with MaNa AU Competition and will be riding a Honda there. Mohr will be riding a Yamaha for 3Art Best Of Bike and competing in the Stocksport class. Both teams are based in France.
