With seven riders competing in two classes, Füsport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki is heading to Assen for the International German Championship. Tom Booth-Amos, who is currently in second place in the Supersport 300 World Championship, will also be competing in the team’s home race in the Netherlands this time.
When the IDM makes its way to the TT Circuit from August 13 to 15, 2021, Füsport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki will be going all out.
Tom Booth-Amos, who has already won two World Championship races this year, is set to support his teammates Marvin Siebdrath, Jorke Erwig, and Luca de Vleeschauwer. However, the 25-year-old Brit is competing in the IDM as a guest rider and therefore won’t earn any championship points. That doesn’t matter—every single race brings him closer to the ideal line. Booth-Amos has found his passion in the Supersport 300 class. That’s where his career really took off in 2020. Right at the season opener in Jerez, the Kawasaki Ninja rider finished second in Saturday’s race. On Sunday, Booth-Amos also made it onto the podium in third place. As a complete rookie, he thus led the World Championship. Over the course of the season, the newcomer won one race. He finished sixth overall at the end of the season. In 2021, Booth-Amos is among the favorites to win the title.
Young Swede Frederik Belin is also on his way up. The 17-year-old competes for the official Kawasaki Sweden team in the Scandinavian Supersport-300 Championship. Like Booth-Amos, he’s making a guest appearance at Assen.
In the IDM Supersport , the well-known duo of Rob Hartog—an expert on Assen—and Dino Iozzo will be competing. Team manager Rob Vennegoor says, “The field of competitors has gotten significantly stronger this year, and that just adds to the excitement. The fact that we’re allowed to race in front of an audience again further fuels our hunger for success.”
