The Freudenberg team from Saxony is currently putting together an IDM Supersport 300 lineup featuring three KTM riders. Lennox Lehmann has already been confirmed. In the Supersport 300 World Championship as well, Michael and Carsten Freudenberg have made their top choice, signing Victor Steeman, a rider they are already familiar with.

There’s a real sense of excitement in the team! “We want to continue supporting young racers on their path to becoming professional athletes. With Victor in the World Championship and Lennox, the youngest German champion ever at 14, we already have two very talented drivers on board,” says team boss Carsten Freudenberg, and his father Michael adds: “We’ve been working with Lennox for two years now, and it’s almost unbelievable what he’s already achieved. People are quick to say that a new star is rising. But Lennox works hard on himself, and if he keeps this up, he could really become one.”
Two spots alongside defending champion Lehmann in the IDM Supersport 300 are still open. The Freudenbergs will be holding further talks shortly: “We have several riders on our radar.”

And Victor Steeman? The Dutch rider is making his comeback on the World Championship team based in Bischofswerda. He made a splash with the Freudenbergs in 2019 as a rookie and the top KTM rider, finishing fifth overall in the series, but the partnership ended at the end of the year. Steeman switched to a 600cc class with a different team in 2020. In 2021, things will return to the way they were before.

“Of course, everything is still very up in the air as far as the 2021 season is concerned,” Carsten Freudenberg interjects, “but I’ve already applied to World Championship promoter DORNA for a permanent team spot in the World Supersport 300 class.” Steeman says confidently that he hopes to top his 2019 results.
