With his third-place finish, Luca Grünwald (25, Waldkraiburg, Kawasaki Schnock Team Motorex) secured the IDM Supersport 600 title on his Kawasaki.
Guest rider Kevin Wahr (31, Nagold, MVR Racing) on a Yamaha seizes the opportunity, overtakes, and pulls away from Luca Grünwald (25, Waldkraiburg, Kawasaki Schnock Team Motorex) on a Kawasaki and Martin Vugrinec (21, CRO, Unior Racing) on a Yamaha.

Grünwald is locked in a thrilling battle with his direct championship rival, Vugrinec, right up to the finish line.
Vugrinec manages to pull ahead and finishes second, with Grünwald in third.
But with 20 championship points, the Kawasaki rider has secured the title.
“I haven’t won a single race this season,” the new champion sums up briefly.
“But of course, I’m more than happy to take the championship title.”
Martin Vugrinec (21, CRO, Unior Racing) on a Yamaha showed nerves of steel and defended his second-place finish behind his Yamaha teammate Kevin Wahr. However, he lost the championship due to his retirement in the first race following two crashes.
Defending champion Max Enderlein (23, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Freudenberg SMC WorldSSP Academy) on a Yamaha can no longer contend for the title. The two-time IDM champion finishes eighth in the final race after starting from 13th on the grid. But the double winner from the Sachsenring slips to third place at Hockenheim.
Kevin Wahr once again demonstrated his skill in the second race. After a year-long hiatus, the Nagold native returned to the highly competitive IDM Supersport 600 series and won both races with ease. “That’s much more than I expected,” Wahr said after the second race, which he won by a margin of nearly six seconds. “I wasn’t really in that great of shape.” In a race where the battle for position raged right up to the finish line, he was able to pull away from the pack in the second half. “I made sure I got away from there,” said Wahr.
In the IDM Superstock class, late bloomer Jan-Ole Jähnig (19, Altenburg, Freudenberg SMC WorldSSP Academy) on a Yamaha secured the inaugural IDM Superstock 600 title with his second victory of the weekend. In the final, he managed to overtake Paul Fröde (18, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, ADAC Sachsen e.V.) on a Honda. Jähnig only joined the championship at the Sachsenring with the Freudenberg team. In third place is Tim Holtz (21, Nienburg, Bonovo Action by MGM Racing) on a Yamaha, last year’s overall winner of the Twin Cup, which is held as part of the IDM.
